Graydon Sharratt: Finalist in the Immigration Adviser/ Lawyer of the Year Category

Graydon Sharratt is a finalist in the prestigious Immigration Adviser/Lawyer of the Year Category.   The Immigration Adviser or Lawyer of the Year award recognises outstanding professional individuals who are a Licensed Immigration Adviser or Immigration Lawyer who enhance the migration profession.

Graydon Sharratt has all the attributes of a top quality Licensed Immigration Adviser. He has taken on seemingly impossible applications on behalf of his clients and worked doggedly for a positive outcome, sometimes on a pro bono basis. His efforts have earned him the greatest of respect amongst migrant groups, with many clients calling our offices to speak only to “Mr Graydon”.

His clients’ glowing references highlight his personable nature, empathy, attention to detail and willingness to advocate on behalf of vulnerable migrants. He has a natural ability to create a connection with migrants from any country, culture or background.  Graydon has completed 130 applications (excluding children and partners) for migrants from 22 countries, with a success rate of 98% excluding appeals during the past year alone.

In addition, Graydon has sacrificed billable hours to contribute to various Immigration Advisers Authority Committees and NZAMI conferences.

Second time in a row that Greenstone has had a finalist in this category

Greenstone has been honoured for the second time in a row with a finalist in the Immigration Adviser/Lawyer of the Year Category.  Vanessa Sharratt, Graydon’s wife and business partner, obtained this accolade in the inaugural NZAMI awards in 2013.

Two of Greenstone’s clients are finalists in the Migrant of the Year Category

Greenstone Global is particularly proud that two of their clients are finalists in the Migrant of the Year category, which recognises a migrant whose personal efforts and achievements during the past 12 months make them an exceptional migrant.

Charl Haasbroek:

Charl Haasbroek arrived with his wife and two children in 2008, with no experience in the dairy industry.  With hard work and determination he rose to Farm Manager/Contract Milker in three years, and has gone on to become a leader in best practice in the dairy industry.  Farm Adviser Bruce Thomas says of Charl:  “one of the most professional guys I have ever worked with – easily one of the best pasture managers even against New Zealand farmers who have been farming their whole lives”.

Since he has taken over the management of the farm in Tirau, Charl has increased farm production by 153,000 milk solids, or 71%, representing a massive increase in annual income for the farm of $1.3 million in the 2013/14 season.

Farm Owners, Les and Gwen Symes have been especially impressed with Charl’s staff management skills “The wisdom and maturity Charl and his wife Yolanda show as staff leaders is outstanding – One of the Haabroek’s outstanding qualities is their care and compassion for other staff families.  We believe that the Haasbroek family emigrating to the country has been South Africa’s loss and New Zealand’s gain”.

Professor Fabian Amor

Prof Fabian Amor and his partner, Coki Verri, are international gymnastics coaches from Argentina.  Since their residence was granted in 2014, the couple have brought specialised international skills and experience to the New Zealand gymnastics community and have made significant contributions to both their club (Bruce Pulman Park Gymsport & Recreation Centre in Papakura) and Gymnastics in New Zealand.  Since 2014 they have produced two National Champions, and have accompanied their gymnasts to international competitions.  Under their tutelage one gymnast obtained a Gold medal in Beam and another gymnast was awarded the bronze medal  in Bars.

“Our aim is to provide exceptional service to our migrant clients,”  says Graydon Sharratt, director of Greenstone Global and Licensed Immigration Adviser.  “We believe  that New Zealand needs the right type of migrants who can contribute to New Zealand with their  unique talents and experience.  We are proud of the calibre of our clients and we are so pleased to see them go on to do great things within New Zealand.”
